I have seen that problem occasionally. In my case, I contribute it to a
glitch in the POP3 download process with the mail server. If the duplicates
effect all incoming mail from one account source, like Gmail or Yahoo, for
all lists and other email, you might be seeing the same problem. POP3 will
download all new messages and then delete all of the copies on the server
after all messages have been downloaded. That is, of course, unless you
specify that you want to keep a copy on the server. If the server or the
network has a glitch and the download is interrupted, it will start over
from the beginning next time.

I'm stumped on that one too. Occasionally, I'll receive duplicate messages
and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why. It's not a big deal
but I'm just curious.
Take care,
Russ

Subject: [JAWS-Users] identical messages
Hi,
Just wondering why I sometimes get 4 or 5 identical messages from this
list.
Any idea why it happens?
It's just annoying to read the same message 5 times!
Thank you for any info.
Estelita
