the retail version will be availabe in october. but this month you can
pre-order your copy and take advantage of the special price for pre-orders
and I think the option statesside is either a download when it is released
or have them send the disc to you..
a lot of the known online stores participate and it can be ordered from them
as well.
i think that one of the other users posted some info on how this will work
in the states. In europe pre orders will be taken starting tomorrow morning.

Sorry all,
my last comment about what computers can install windows 7 was for clean
install not upgrade.
In europe we get the stand alone O S with pre order so I got confused. As
far as upgrading I think you do need to have vista installed prior to
upgrading.
