Oops! I should have been more clear.
I am using JAWS 7.10, which is the latest version I own/am authorized to
use. I am running XP Home for an operating system. I understand that JAWS
7 will not work with Vista and later operating systems, but I cannot afford
to upgrade JAWS at this time.
The netbook is a 2.1.GHz dual-core Intel machine with 1 gig of RAM, if that
helps. Sadly, without having an Internet browser in the first place, I
cannot download an earlier I.E. version in order to "downgrade." Any ideas?

I just bought a new Asus EEE Netbook computer. I installed the latest
version of JAWS I won (7.10).
The machine is loaded with I.E. 8.0, and I can't get JAWS to read
anything. Other applications seem to work fine with minor work-arounds,
but I.E. is impossible. Can anyone help? Thanks!
