Hello Victor, If you hear that skype welcome message, skype still comes up although it doesn't open a window as such, but if it perhaps still shows up in your system tray, it is indeed activated.
In skype itself, there is a checkbox where you can deactivate the welcome message. Perhaps you could try that? I have set it to not open when the computer boots up, but Jaws still states the opening message as written in the scripts. I have confirmed that Skype is not running, and yet the message pops up.
