Hello Vicki,
If you have sensitive information that you want to password protect you
might also consider using one of the free encryption programs for XP. I
have used Cryptainer LE on both XP and Vista machines and it works well.
The program creates a virtual volume on your hard drive. You can also
create a virtual volume on a thumb drive. The volumes that are created are
password protected and encrypted using high encryption standards. You can
put an icon on the desktop to quickly open the virtual drive. It is very
important that you don't forget the exact password for the encrypted virtual
volume. You can move folders and files to the encrypted volume. There is a
size limitation for the virtual volumes but I have found it quite ample. Of
course, if you want to save video files and movies to the volumes then you
would need to buy the program. Another free source program quite similar is
TrueCrypt, which I have not used. Once set up, you can simply press enter
on the icon on the desktop and enter the password to have full access to the
files and folders.
Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] folders question
I know there's a way to put a password on a document file, but is it
possible to put a password on a folder? I'm using XP on my computer.
Thanks.
Vicki
