Hi Richard,

That appears to be the case. I was able to have the Address bar displayed in Millennium. I switched to XP Sp2 in 2006.

Hi Flor,
In fact, at least back as far as Win98,
pressing the F6 key, or tabbing to the address bar, will show the file path
of the current directory.
I have the same issue here with WinXP Home, but something took place in the
system
that changed the file path from being displayed.

Mike,

I'm not sure. Those instructions from FSReader may have been recorded
quite a long time ago. Perhaps if you also enable Map Network Drives?
But ever since I checked the Address Bar of Windows Explorer - in 2007
some time - it's worked as we have found it to, rather than how you may
suppose it should. Perhaps the Address bar does not display anything
until you've typed or edited something into it.

Hi Flor,

Yes sir, Jaws reads " Address edit combo 0 items ". I thought it was
supposed to display the full file path of where you are at in Windows
Explorer.  For example;
C:/windows/programs/FreedomScientific/training or
something like that. At least that is the way it is supposed to work
according to the help menues using FS Reader. Did misunderstand that
Dan
guys instructions or is Windows Explorer Address Bar actually working
correctly? Thank you for your response. Take care.
Mike

 Hi Mike,

What does it say? Is it, "list view 0 items?" That's quite normal,
it
appears. You type in the address you want to go to, and then press
enter. (At least, that's what I do, for example an FTP site I
sometimes
 visit.)
