Just a thought here: Do you have typing echo set to words? This way JAWS
will speak the word you just typed when you press the space bar. If you've
capitalized a word, the pitch should be higher for that word. If you've
accidentally turned on the capslock key, the first letter of the word you
meant to capitalize will be lowercase, and the rest of the word will be in
all caps. This causes JAWS to pronounce the word differently.
This is a setting you can customize in all applications as needed.
I'm a fairly fast typist, but hearing words spoken after I press the space
bar allows me to make changes as I type rather than waiting until I'm at the
end of my document or Email to verify what should and shouldn't be
capitalized.

I used to care, but I take a pill for that now.
