Hi, This is Vicky. I have my laptop set to do nothing, when the lid is
closed. My little braille display sits on top of it and there are no
problems. I do have a USB wireless keyboard, so I can sit anywhere in my
livingroom, with my keyboard in my lap and work. If I'm just letting the
computer read a book or listening to music on it, I even lay it beside my
chair. Nothing I've gotten has ever let me get very far from my computer,
as in being outside, but that's something I'd love to do some day. However,
I'd need either headphones or wireless speakers.

Hello,
To my knowledge, the only way to turn-off the display is by closing the
lid and attaching an external keyboard. Before doing that one should go to
the power option and select: 'When I close the lid, do nothing'.

Hello everyone
I know of utilities that will turn off the laptop display but the display
will automatically turn back on when the keyboard is pressed or when the
mouse is moved. My laptop does noes have a hotkey to turn off the display.
Is there any way for me to turn off the display and continue working on my
laptop? It would be a major battery saver.
Cheers
Dickson
