It sounds like a pop-up blocker is stopping the execution of the link. You can press shift+enter key when the cursor is on the link to force the destination to open in a new window. You can turn off pop-up blocker from the tools menu. If you turn off pop-up blocker and it doesn't help then look in the toolbars submenu under the view menu to see if there is another toolbar blocking the use of links (such as a Google or Yahoo toolbar). The toolbar is active if it is checked. Press enter on the toolbar name in the menu to remove the checkmark and disable the toolbar.

I recently had to reformat my hard drive. Now with JAWS 10 and the most
recent version of Internet Explorer, when I click on some links, I get a
snap or clicking sound, and I can't open the link. Can anyone suggest a
solution?
