Thanks for this

I knew about Scansoft and the Neospeech voices but I did not see the option
for Western European voices in Kurzweil. I definitely have Daniel and Emily
so I may have these voices as well. I will try to go and have a look.

David Griffith

Hello David,

Depending upon the Kurzweil installation you do, you could also install
the western European voices, what Kurzweil calls scansoft and which come
from nuance, including voices like the British Emily, Surena and Daniel,
or the US Scansoft/real speak voices, like Tom, Jill and Samantha, which
are, as far as I know, not shipped to Non-US Kurzweil purchasers, as I
haven't received them with Kurzweil, but they are, together with the
Australian Karin and Lee, all included in the proprietary Real speak
Solo Direct voices that ship with jaws 10.

Kurzweil also include the Scansoft/real speak, with Dutch, French and
Belgium voices, if one installs the Western European set.

Paul and Kate, which Kurzweil call Voiceware voices, are also shipped
with Kurzweil to all registered users, on a separate disc.

Regards

Riana

Thanks very much Chris
It was very frustrating not knowing where they had come from.
I have put Kurzweil on my Netbook. I will go and have a look.

This version of Eloquence, which is SAPI4 compatible, comes with the
latest
Kurzweil 1000.
