To set Jaws to echo what ever you want:
First, Go in to Jaws, with Insert J,
Second, Press Enter on Configuration Manager,
Third, Press Alt U, for User Options and press Enter,
Fourth, press Down arrow to Echo Characters, Words etc.
Fifth, use spacebar to select your echo choice,
Sixth, press Control to save this,
Seventh Finish by closing with Alt F 4.
