do I just tell roxio to make a data c.d. and drag the video_ts folder to the

here's what you need, its called dvd flick and it is a free program to
convert .avi .mpg files to dvd it will create the video.ts folder for you
that you can then burn to a dvd to create a dvd movie. below is the link
for the software:
dvdflick_setup_1.3.0.4.exe

Hi All!
I just got a dell 1545 with Vista home basic. It came with Roxio creator
de which seems pretty accessible. HOwever, although my computer came with
a dvd burner, the creator de didn't come with any software to burn files
to dvd. I can copy dvd's already made but can't make them. So, How would I
solve this problem?
I know that when a dvd is done it has to have a video_ts folder with files
in it. I know I cna't just make a folder named that because it has to have
a certain kind of file in it. The files I have are .avi files and .wmv
files and such. Is there any free programs that are accessible that would
convert them and make a video_ts folder? Then could I just copy the
video_ts folder using data under creator de or under windows drag to
dvdr/w drive?
I tried to just burn the avi as data, but it just put the folder onto a
dvd and it only played in my computer not in my dvd player in the living
room and therefore I ruined a blank dvd.
I know this might be somewhat off-topic, but since I would need an
accessible program with jaws I figured it wasn't totally off!
Thanks,
Sarah A.
