I've never discouraged the usage of test messages for new members but I would like to modify that here slightly. Since there are almost 500 subscribers on here at this time and believe me I never figured that any list I started would grow so enormous it seems to me that the person sending the test message will receive or should any way their own message. Now having said that it is fine for a person or 2 to reply that said message was received but beyond that I don't feel there is a need for it to continue over a period of several days. Can you imagine the traffic if everybody simply replied that they received a new subscribers test message? I don't believe that day would rank very high in my memory, because I'd have to plow through 475 messages all saying the same thing. Oh the agony of repetitive key stroke stress.
