Dear John Thanks for the tip . I edited your url to http://www.google.co.uk/advanced_search And this link worked also. I have not tried this yet on my Netbook which is where the problem existed. I use Firefox on my Netbook as IE runs slowly on that setup. However testing the page on my desktop using IE you may have solved another annoyance. For some reason Jaws 10 sometimes seems to struggle to find the search edit box and I have to close all my IE pages for it to work. So far the advanced search edit box seems more reliable.

Hi David, I had the same problem here in the states and just switched my search page from http://www.google.com to: http://www.google.com/advanced_search Jon -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Griffith Sent: Sunday, September 06, 2009 10:52 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] Peculiar behaviour of Jaws with Google. I thought I would report on solving the peculiar behaviour of Jaws with firefox where it did not see the search results in a google search. . I completely un-installed and re-installed Jaws with no real improvement. All that happened is that it became possible to read the search results by ending and restarting Jaws. I had been using as my search web site the www.google.co.uk web page. I have now switched to the Google Access page. So far, touch wood, jaws is now reading the search results in the Google Access version so this seems a work around for this problem. I do not know if the searches will be optimised for UK users but I will give it a try.
