Hi Kimsan,

It can be done using Outlook 2007 but it is not a straightforward process. First of all a person needs to have a Windows Live ID to use. When you create a message in Outlook 2007 you set permissions by activating the office button using alt+F, using down arrow to the permissions split button, using right arrow and then down arrow to the "restrict permissions" choice and pressing enter key. The first time you do this, you will need to sign in with your Windows Live ID and download the Internet rights management software that lets you send messages with restricted permissions. Once installed you can then use that ID to send restricted messages. However, if a person doesn't have Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 they will not be able to open the message, but instead will receive a message that they need to download the Internet Rights Management Add-on. Once downloaded and installed the recipient will be able to open any new restricted messages, but they will be directed through a check by a server to make sure they have the permission to open the message. Once confirmed the recipient clicks on the "done" button and the message (which delivers as an attachment) opens in Internet Explorer.

I don't know of any other free way to do it, but it certainly is not a real easy process for the sender or for the recipient.

Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] outlook07 ?

Hello,
I was wondering if it were possible to compose an email and after the person reads it they will not be able to reply? Personally, I don't know why (if possible) the person would do this because what's the point of sending an email if you can't respond.

If there is a way to compose a "read only" email please pass the info along. Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first. - Mark Twain
