Hi,
Actually that doesn't get rid of your sent messages but only applies to
messages sent to you from others.
You need to add Recent: to your username for Gmail as I stated earlier.

You have to change the setting on web mail to don't save a copy of messages.

This should be in your pop settings when you log into gmail webmail.
