Yes, Joanne, thank you for restating the question. <smiles>
I was the member who had the list of supposedly password protected files
brought up in AVAST after a scan. I never got a response on list, either.
So far, things are working just as quickly for me as they did before the
scan. I know the program is working because it flags questionable messages
from my various groups. That screen is fairly simple to use.
I'm a new AVAST user, having used Norton for many years, so some general
pointers on scanning and then deciding what to do with the results would be
most welcome.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] question about scan results list in avast
First, thanks to Roger for letting me know I don't really have to do full
scans with Avast as often as I thought I had to. But I do want to ask a
question that was asked by another group member, and if it was answered I
do apologize but cannot seem to find the reply. This did happen to me
when I scanned, so hoping someone won't mind answering this. I had the
exact experience the other group member had, in that a list would come up
that said things Avast could not scan, as these were supposedly
password-protected and INY files. I don't get this, as I don't think
anything is password protected here, and it didn't mention on the results
list what was able to be scanned. I got the okay bell so know
everything's okay, but what does this INY list mean and can settings be
changed so that isn't shown? Thanks.
