It's a manufacturing kind of decision in that the disk will contain both the 32 and 64 bit versions of JAWS along with all of the training material. Add to that the fact it will also include a demo copy of MAGIC on it as well. The short of it is all of that software would most likely not fit on a standard CD. Using a DVD instead will cost less on the production side of things.
