Hi Albert, Do the following. 1. while on the desktop press control + space bar to deselect everything. 2. Press the applications key. 3. Arrow down to '" New " or press the letter " W ". 4. Press " F " for folder or press enter on " Folder ". An edit field will open and in here is where you will type the name of this new folder, then press enter and this folder will be on the desktop. This is usually how I do it. Use the real mouse and right click on the desktop. A few minutes ago, I tried to create a folder on the desktop by using the control plus space bar to unselect everything that is on it, and when I hit the alt f key to go too the option where it says new folder, it just says my documents. I'm trying to make a folder called, Al's address files for later reference should I need too, so that's why I'm asking here. It would seem that the method I tried above, won't allow me to do that, unless I create the folder from with in the my documents folder. Am I correct in that assumption? or am I doing it all wrong.
