Hi Albert,

Do the following.
1. while on the desktop press control + space bar to deselect everything.
2. Press the applications key.
3. Arrow down to '" New " or press the letter " W ".
4. Press " F " for folder or press enter on " Folder ".
An edit field will open and in here is where you will type the name of this
new folder, then press enter and this folder will be on the desktop.
Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

This is usually how I do it. Use the real mouse and right click on the
desktop. You can create a folder on the desktop that way.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Question on creating a folder and putting that
folder
on the desktop for later reference.

  Good afternoon everyone.

A few minutes ago, I tried to create a folder on the desktop by using the
control plus space bar to unselect everything that is on it, and when I
hit
the alt f key to go too the option where it says new folder, it just says
my documents. I'm trying to make a folder called, Al's address files
for
later reference should I need too, so that's why I'm asking here. It
would
seem that the method I tried above, won't allow me to do that, unless I
create the folder from with in the my documents folder. Am I correct in
that assumption? or am I doing it all wrong.
