I sent this response to;

trying to help with a question she had. not sure if she got this response.
give these steps a try;
1, desktop, then press the f5key to unselect everything.
2, now press applications key, and down arrow until you hear,
personalize,
or, just press applications key, and press the letter R.
3, now tab until you hear,
change desktop icons link; press spacebar, or, the enter key.
4, now use your arrow key, and when you hear recycle bin, if it's not
checked, then press spacebar.
5, now tab and enter on the okay button.

I don't know how it managed to disappear, but I have lost my recycle bin.
does anyone know how to bring the recycle bin back on to the desktop in
vista?
