I have finally gotten around to installing it to my Windows 7 machine, thanks to Donald pointing me in the right direction. Apparently, it seems that there are 2 versions so-to-speak. One is, web-based, and the other is a client installed on the computer. The web-based requires you to sign in to your Microsoft "Live" account, and looks to me like Microsoft does store your contact info on their server. When I accessed the Live account yesterday, I chose to import my contacts, and what popped up were the contacts that I previously had in Windows Messenger, which is not even on this machine. The client does have a similar look to Outlook Express. If I seemed to discount anyone's posts on this subject, I apologize for that, it was not my intent. This is a list for learning, as well as helping each other, and I certainly learned something today.
