A couple of ways, Steve. You can define the > symbol in your dictionary
like this.
1. Press Insert D to open the dictionary:
2. Press Control Shift D to open the default dictionary.
3. Tab to the Add button and press Enter.
4. Type the > character in that space.
5. Tab to the next field and press the space bar.
You won't hear another > when you read e-mails that have been extended.
That's why they're there by the way. To tell you that you are reading a
part of the e-mail which has been forwarded.
The second method is to use something like ECleaner to remove the >
symbols.
But you'll need to load that program first. It works quite well and it's
simple to use.
