Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has noticed any differences in the responsiveness
of RealSpeak Solo Direct in the recent JAWS releases?

In March when I updated to JAWS 10.0.1139 (I think that is the build
number), I noticed that RealSpeak Solo Direct responded differently and,
especially when navigating at faster speeds (arrowing through my iTunes
Music Library to find a song is a good example) it inserted snipits of text
into the string of speech. For example, it would read a word (or two) from
the Album field and then start reading correctly with the track's name, etc.

I wish I knew more about technology so I could accurately (and intelegently)
tell you guys where exactly RSD is getting this text into the speech output;
all I can tell is that it is coming from the application I am using; it is
just not the right text to be read at that time.

So, I went back and copied my JAWS 10.0.512 RealSpeak.jls file in place of
the current .jls file and that fixed the problem.

This problem is ongoing in JAWS 11; I have again replaced the JAWS 11
RealSpeak.jls with the JAWS 10 version of that file, and again it is fixed.

I am bothered, though, that I have to resort to that type of modification to
get the desired results.

Has anyone else had any problems with RealSpeak Solo Direct/noticed any
differences in recent releases of JAWS?

Thanks,

Michael
