Thanks for the idea. Do you know what I can do about it? Is there a quick way to get Jaws to start reading these things again without rebooting? Hi Erin, Perhaps it's due to a change in the windows security updates, as I have the same experience, also with jaws 10 after the last security updates a few days ago. Regards Riana -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Erin Pruitt Sent: Monday, November 16, 2009 5:59 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws not reading autofill and highlighted words Hey, all- I am using Jaws 9, recently updated. During a sessions on the computer, jaws will suddenly stop reading autofill and highlighted words when it was doing so just fine moments earlier and I have made no adjustments to jaws verbosity. When typing this email, for example, it will not read autofill for the address, nor will it read "to", "cc", or "subject" and it won't read the misspelled word during spell check here in Outlook Express. When I reboot, it goes back to working correctly about 50 percent of the time. Any ideas why it's doing that or how I can make it start reading these things again? MSE will alert you when it detects a malicious threat. This happened to me last week. I tried to link to a web page from the Google search results page, and MSE instead prompted me with a warning that a trojan called Cyber Security was attempting to install itself on my PC. I was presented with a dialog with an option to learn more details about this threat and and a Clean Computer button to remove it immediately. Of course, I hit the Clean Computer button, and the trojan was banished from my PC. So whenever MSE detects a threat, you will certainly know about it, even though there is no warning sound like in other anti-virus programs. It has been running fine for years. However, it has just reverted to running in 40 minute demo mode. I got an error message something to do with authorization. I don't know why this has suddenly started happening. I am wondering if I am going to have to reregister that version of Jaws? I have just installed Jaws 11. And I have a feeling, that my Jaws licensing count(or whatever it is called) may be low, or even down to zero. My question is, where do we go to have our reactivation count restored? And does anyone remember, if it is the authorization disk from Jaws 6 that we use to register Jaws 7? I don't think ILM registration was in use then was it? If anyone has any idea why my version of Jaws 7 reverted to demo mode, I would look forward to knowing it?
