Actually, it should be all capitalized since it is a contrived acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". It was developed at the Carnegie Mellon University computer department. A normal Turing test is a test a human gives a computer, so this spins the tables and works in reverse. CMU is a leader in computing, but I wish they never thought of this!

Fire Fox with the "web visum" plugin claims to solve the
capture problem however on a personal note I have never been
able to make it work for me.
