That's why it's a good idea to fall back on Solona for those situations when Webvisum doesn't work. Because Solona relies on human operators to solve captchas rather than proprietary software like Webvisum, the results are more likely to be accurate. I usually try Webvisum first, and if it fails to successfully solve a captcha, I then try Solona, which almost always succeeds when Webvisum fails.

I could not solve a captcha with JAWS11 latest and Web Visum the other day.
I tried several times- and Web Visum would return a result, but the page
kept sending back messages that the rendering was incorrect.

Larry,
The problem was probably that you're using Jaws 9. Jaws 9 and firefox
do not like each other at all, at least that was my experience.
I use Web Visum with no problems.

Does this one work with both IE and Firefox or just one or the other?

Thanks.

In addition to Firefox with Webvisum, there is another service called
Solona

that solves those nasty captchas (not captures. Visit the Solona site to
register and click on the Learn link for a detailed explanation of how it
works. Briefly, using a special tool that you download from Solona, you
create an image file of the captcha and submit it to Solona, where a
sighted

human operator, standing by, decodes it and returns it to you in text
format

that you can copy and paste into the appropriate edit field.

Hi Listers

Can anyone tell me how to get around captures on websites? Even where
there
is an audio version it's hard to get the information from them.

Thanks in anticipation.
