Hi lenny,
What you can do is: Go Toos | Options | Connection tab; then tab to the
change... button and activate it; then tab to a group of 3 radiobuttons
and choose 1, "never dial a connection". OK your change, and then OK
the dialogue.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] being kicked off-line
This is becoming quite frustrating. Whenever I read some of our local
news
paper on-line I my connection is dropped. This usually happens when
attempting to read AP news. When I click on a link either as a new
window or
not I sometimes hear the sound as if a pop up was blocked. Then the
screen
for a dial up connection is presented. This computer does not even
have a
dial up modem. The problem mostly occurs in the national news
section. I am
using jaws 11, IE8 and xp home sp3. Here is the link to the story that
I
wanted to read.
