To answer your question we need to know a bit more about the CD.
A cds rom should show up like any other drive in your computer so there
should be no problem with looking at the contents of the drive with Jaws.

Whether you can use Jaws to read the books and files contained on the CD
depends entirely on the sorts of files on the CD. If the files will open
with mainstream popular programs there will be no problems for Jaws.

If the files open in narrow protected applications then the question of
whether jaws will work will depend on how well the programmer has programmed
the software. If the programmer has used the standard MSAA controls then
Jaws will work fine. If non standard controls are used or the code is bad
then Jaws will not work and you possibly need to raise this as a concern
with the CD providers .

Subject: [JAWS-Users] CD Rom?

is there any special adjustments that I need to make in order for Jaws to
work with a CD rom? What I mean, is that I am going to be receiving some
resources that have been loaded onto a CD rom, and actually a whole book is
available on this Rom, will I be able to read it with jaws? Or is there
even a way to make it in to a word document or be laid out to be easier to
navigate? Thanks in advance.
