In XP pressing windows key and the pause button will bring up system information. I am not sure of previous OS though.
If you go to My computer and look for properties by pressing alt enter or the application key you should get some information. Presumably you will need to be running Narrator as Jaws is not working. I have just checked and Narrator will read the desired information but will take a while getting around to it as it reads all the tab labels first. Hi, thanks for your advice. The Bt server has been down so I haven't been able to get my email all day, so I'm curled up in bed using another device sifting through my 268 emails. How can I ascertain which version of windows is running on my old laptop? Thanks.
