Do a re-boot and see if that helps.

All Jaws users ,
I am having a major problem with Jaws reading properly. Jaws is not
reading email messages once I enter into them through outlook express; I
am also noticing a problem on the internet when I go to homepage (Google)
it lands in the edit field and forms mode refuses to turn off using my
escape key and or the pc cursor. I also notice that on facebook it starts
reading everything at once when before it read line by line. I am able to
tab to different links on Google but unable to scroll down the page. this
only started happening after I sat a notebook accidentally on my number
pad. I have tried to look at the verbocity settings to see if something
got changed there I changed a couple of things but nothing seemed to help.
I also noticed that when the notebook was sat on the number pad it said PC
cursor off and something about the virtual cursor. I hope I have provided
enough information to diagnose this problem I am using JAWS 10 with XP
operating system on a Dell inspiron 1545 laptop with a Lunovo external
number pad. Please if anyone knows how to turn the PC cursor back on (
usually when I push the PC cursor it says PC cursor and returns from JAWS
cursor this is not happening) or you may know how to correct this problem
respond any help is greatly appreciated.
