Hi Kimsan,

When you have something selected, this means that it is highlighted and when

you press the enter key the item that is highlighted will open , if it is a
program or if it is a shortcut and you press enter it will take you to/ open

whatever this shortcut is assigned to.

If you are in a list view, for example on your desktop and you have My
Computer selected/highlighted, pressing the keystroke of control + space bar

will deselect it or whatever you have selected/highlighted. Hopefully
others may suggest better examples and better explanations. Take care.
Mike
