I didn't get an error when uninstalling. I have a feeling you will likely
have to use their tool. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I am having difficulty uninstalling Avast, I did turn it off, but in my
control panel when I try to uninstall it says error, what else can I try. I

notaccessible with Jaws.
First, let me say I did check out the new avast and it does have some
significant problems. This led to me uninstalling and going with mse.
Avast is not totally inaccessible, but some important dialog boxes are.
You can use the mouse and navigate most of the dialog boxes in avast.
This is a far cry from previous versions where you could use tab and
shift tab, but it is still doable. What caused me to go forward with the
uninstall are the dialogs that pop up when, for example, you disable the
protection through the context menu. These are totally inaccessible. I
had to guess where the buttons were. So yes, it is inaccessible in some
key parts. But is it totally unusable? The answer is if you know how to
use the mouse (jaws cursor) then no. Part of the problem is that jaws
thinks every button is a dialog box. Hope this helps someone.
