As my message clearly indicates, MSE works with XP, and it should work fine with JAWS 8 and earlier. For those of you who are concerned about scanning incoming email messages, MSE scans attachments only, not the body of the message, nor does it scan outgoing messages. Since viruses hide in attachments and not in the body of the message itself, this is not a problem.

You can download MSE from the web page below. Under the heading "First Look: Microsoft Security Essentials Impresses" click on one of the three links appropriate to your OS (Xp 32 bit, Vista/7 32 bit or Vista/7 64 bit) and your download should start immediately. Installation is simple and straightforward, with no special cofiguration settings to deal with.

Apparently, the fine folks at Avast don't really care about us blind users. Besides, MSE is more accessible anyway and does a better job at virus detection, according to recent comparison tests.

Yes it does. No matter what I did in the graphical user interface, nothing happened, so I restored my system like I mentioned and here I am again. I hate to tell the list all about this, but this is exactly what happened.
