Kingsan, If you haven't already solved your problem, this might work.
1. Open the Insert ribbon with alt-n 2. Press d to open the date and time dialogue 3. Tab until you come to a check box for update automatically and uncheck it with spacebar if it is check. 4. Tab to Okay and press enter 5. Close all open Word documents and exit Word 2007 It might be press space bar in step#4. I'm just learning Word 2007 and the steps seem to work here.
