Hi Tom,
I am having the same problem with Google and I'm also using Jaws eleven. If
I hit the search button after arrowing down, the results will appear.

Sometimes lately when I do a Google search, there are search results
listed, but JAWS skips over them.
It will review my search line, then jump to the links for 1, 2, 3 and so
on at the end of the list of search results.
Pressing H for headings, or U for unvisited links won't get me to the
search results either.
I'm using JAWS 11.
Does anybody know what might cause this?
