[JAWS-Users] narrator doesn't speak anymore

I can't get narrator on Xp pro to speak. I looked at the settings in speech and 
in volume control nothing is muted. Did a disc error check, defrag, and even 
did a system restore back to a couple of days ago when everything was working. 
I am at a loss where to go from here.
