Hello Sherri; give this a try;
1, desktop, 2, now press the f5key, to unselect everything. 3, now press the applications key, you can either, press the letter "I", which puts you into the menu, or, you can down arrow until you hear; arrange icons sub-menu. here you would press enter or press right arrow to open. 4, now you can check by name, by pressing the spacebar. also, in that menu, I have, the following checked. auto arrange is checked; align to grid is checked; show desktop icons is checked; you check these by pressing spacebar. note, you can only check one item at a time. must repeat the above steps. hope this helps. note, with windows XP, my documents, and my computer, will be at the top of the list. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sherri" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, March 04, 2010 3:53 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] desktop I can't seem to do this in Windows XP.
