Hi Chris
It was set to details and sorted by name, the following were grouped by,
checked name, type and size which I would expect. I did have windows live
running which could have contributed to the problem. It doesn't always
happen so when it does the work around seems to be maximising the window or
double check if details is checked. If it happens when details is checked I
will down load any updates an hope that solves the problem.

Not really. Try setting the view to details and ensuring that the columns
are not grouped.
