Yes sort of. Have you tried to change the voice rate in the voice adjustment dialogue box, found under the voices submenu of the options menu?

Hi Chriss. I'm finding that jaws eleven is a little slower at getting to where
I want to go. Well I mean the speech, and I have to press the control button
so I can change properly. This might sound confusing, but even well after I
have pressed where I want to go, it's still speaking on the previous menu, and
it's really annoying. I hope you understand what I mean. Not very good at
explaining.

You just click ok after checking or unchecking the box. Note when you
uncheck the box JAWS will confirm you sure you want to do this, so click
yes after clicking ok.

I did that, but it won't stay checked on jaws eleven. I can't find where to
save my settings.

Yes. First of all uncheck automatically start JAWS in JAWS 10, then
check the same box in JAWS 11. This is if you are using XP.

well I did a silly thing. I uninstalled all but eleven, well I thought
something was amiss, so I reinstalled version ten. Now version ten seems to be
running, but I want jaws eleven to run. How do I get eleven to run instead. I
go to the jaws and go to about, and it just tells me about jaws ten, so I
gather that jaws ten is running and not eleven. Would I be right?

Sometimesw, at least keep one earlier version. Sometimes, new bugs are
introduced, or in some instances, an earlier version of Jaws seems to work
better with certain applications.

But, you probably don't need every one of your older versions.

Hi there. Just wondering if it is beneficial to keep my jaws 8 9 and 10 on
the computer? thanks.
