Hello.
I am new to this list, and just thought i would send this message
regarding avast accessibility, and to introduce my self. I am from the
UK, and have spent alot of time over the last 7 years reviewing
software. When i found avast anti-virus, it was v4.8 and very
accessible, i was installing this for all my customers. However, with
the release of version 5 earlier this year, It was clear that they'd
overlooked accessibility. So to cut a long story short, after many
emails to avast, they released avast 5.0.507 earlier this month,
claiming that some issues had been fixed with screen reader
accessibility. I tested version 5 again, only to find that they hadn't.
So, i wrote to the developers again, and here for everyone's reference
is the response i received.
Hello,
Many bugs related to accessibility will be solved in next program update.
we were testing with Jaws, windows-eyes, NVDA.
if you find further problems, please report
thanks,
Yonatan Omer
Many Thanks,
Mo.
