actually, most of the time, you can just copy from a pdf to word. I select all, copy with control c then go over to word. If you hit alt e(edit) , then s you'll get the paste special command. there, you can choose the file type. in my version of word the choices are RTF, unformatted text, unformatted unicode text and htm. karen
