Larry- I've spent some time with FS on this today- and there is a fix if you
don't want to set different message views in your various folders. One of
the changes in JAWS11 is the ability to control the message view through the
utilities managers. IE, press Insert-F2, choose customize Outlook messages.
In order to eliminate double reading on the 'from' field, I had to go back
into my outlook folders and select View, Current View, Customize Current
View, then Reset current view- which puts Outlook folders back to their
original setting. After that, I can use the new JAWS utility to control how
the message views are read. When I used the new JAWS utility but did not
reset the view within the Outlook folders, I was still getting 'from' read
twice- just in a different order than before. The only down side to having
JAWS control the message column field reading in Outlook is that all folders
will read the columns in the same order, but IMO its better than the
double-speak!

incorrectly

Hello Cher

I called Sight & Sound with the exact same problem, that Jaws wasn't reading
the columns in the right order. They logged in and tried a few things and
said I would have to wait for the next release of Jaws!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS reading Outlook 2007 message list fields
incorrectly

My folder view is set to read the subject field before the from field. But
JAWS 11 is reading the from field an extra time- before reading the subject
and from fields. If I look at the table headers, the first from field is not
there. Where is JAWS getting this extra information and is there a fix?
Thanks.

Cher
