That just shows you how much those computer shops know.
Procedure that my wife used to migrate to her Windows 7 computer is as
follows:
1. Get the Windows Live email client and install it on your Windows 7
machine.
2. Run the Win 7 File Transfer Wizard from the new Win-7 computer.
3. If you can network both machines, it is simpler. If not, you can do it
with CD-R's.
4. Tell your computer how you want to transfer your files and settings.
Then, it will instruct you to run a program on your old computer.
5. AFter you run the program on the old computer, you will be given a bunch
of checkboxes to select what things you want to transfer over. You can
transfer data from your old "My Documents" folder to the new computer; you
can transfer your favorites, address book, email messages, etc.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] migrating email from outlook express
I have visited a few computer shops and all have told me that I can not
migrate my email accounts, message folders and address book to a new
windows
7 64 bit computer. Looking at outlook express export the messages can only
be exported to Microsoft exchange or outlook.
I wonder if I installed a Microsoft outlook on both computers if I could
to
export express to outlook then export outlook to a file to be imported on
a
new computer? I have 5 email accounts and several hundred messages that I
want to keep.
