I have saved my cds on laptop. I have over 1000 songs. I assume they
are saved as WMA files. However, I would like to convert them to
MP3. Is there a way to do this without having to purchase some
program? Wayne Scott

One additional note to be cognizant of is some WMA files
have a DRM layer built in. If the WMA files you are looking
at contain this I'm not aware of any direct conversion
option that will work. There are work arounds but it does
get to be a pain. This is one reason I stopped purchasing
DRM layered WMA files. Seems to me years ago when I was
buying music from Wal-Mart download I ran into this. Just a
FYI if it applies

How do I convert WMA files to MP3? I am using Jaws 11 and
Windows Media
Player 11. I hope it doesn't cost anything. `Wayne Scott
