I don't use a SoundBlaster Live 5.1 card although I use to. However, I found drivers that apparently work with the Creative SoundBlaster Live 5.1 card and both Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit. I can't personally vouch for them, but a lot of people on line have said that they work well. The first link below is for 32-bit Windows and there is "x86" in the name of the file. The second link is the driver for 64-bit Windows and "x64" is shown in the file name. In addition, some people have said that installing XP drivers using the Windows 7 compatibility mode also works. One problem some people have had is getting sound from more than two speakers. Tweaking the configuration in the properties of the sound applet in the control panel seemed to work for those people. Setting output to SPDIF/AC3 apparently stopped some problems people had with such things as getting static when using WINAmp. Please remember to back up existing sound drivers on the Windows 7 machine and/or creating a system restore point before installing the drivers. There seemed to be a lot of people on line who had searched for compatible drivers for a long time and who said that these drivers worked for them, but again, I haven't used them.
