Hi Graham,
Program Files (X86) is where programs that run in 32 bit emulation mode will be installed to. So, for example, Winamp would be stored in c:\Program Files (X86)\Winamp, as it's a 32 bit program, not a 64 bit one.

HI

Using windows 7, latest jaws

When I look at my c drive I have two program Files one of which has x86
after it and this is where everything seems to be going.

Any idea how and why I have got this, I would prefer to have just the
one program files folder.

Is it something to do with dual accounts, I am and wish to be the only
user of this laptop.

However I did buy it from the shelf and windows was pre loaded and I was
using there password to log in. I have changed the password and stopped
the log in screen from coming on.

My personal folder was called Store obviously this is what they named it
and I have managed to change that so it shows as just Graham now.

However when I look at System Info the pc name is Graham store.

When I look at user accounts it shows Graham with adminastrative rights
and a guest account which is off.

Bit of a mess would like to get all this sorted before doing much more.

Appreciate any help.

Graham
