[JAWS-Users] is there a way to free up space on my desk top without deleting recent versions of programs?

Hi list members, i'm noticing that my desk top is getting crouded but i'd like 
to first know if there is a way to delete icons that refer to old versions of 
programs, after that how can i check to make sure that i have access to the 
programs that i use frequently?  Thank you for any information that you might 
have.  Thank you.
