Hi Betsy,
If something happens to your running version of Jaws and you lose speech,
then having a hot-key for an earlier version allows you to easily
reestablish a possible loss of the hot-key for the troubled version. This
situation has happened to me many times, plus a number of other difficulties
which might be able to be fixed by being able to look at the problem version
quickly.

I'm just curious. Do those of you who have more than one version of Jaws
on your systems, having different settings in them? I am just wondering
what is the purpose. After I get a new version, I keep the old one until I
am sure the new one is working properly.
Thanks, Betsy

HI David;
What I have done in the past for multiple shortcut keystrokes for multiple
Jaws versions is use the keystroke of control + J for my primary version
an
let's say Jaws10 is my primary version, I would give that version the
control + J keystroke. Now, let say my other 3 versions are Jaws7, 8, &
9.
I would use control,shift + 7, control, shift, + 8, and control shift, + 9
for the shortcut keystrokes for these versions. If Jaws11 is 1 of the
other
versions I would use control, shift, +1 for this versions shortcut
keystroke. Hope this helps in giving you a starting point . Take care.
