Rich,

There are two different types of placemarkers in Jaws 11. You can set temporary placemarkers with control-windows-k and permanent placemarkers with control-shift-k followed by enter.

If adding a permanent placemarker, you have two options. The first checkbox will apply it to all pages of the website; leaving it unchecked only applies it to that specific page. I think the second box is the one you want to check, where you can anchor the placemarker to certain text which surrounds that marker.

Also, be aware that the control-shift-k command also invokes a list of placemarkers so that you can modify or remove them. In that case, you up and down arrow to highlight the specific existing placemarker you want to act upon.

HTH,
Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Book/place marks?

Hi all;
I have XP home and 11.0.
I noticed that on a particular web site, by hitting "K", that the book mark [place mark]had moved down the page a bit. When I tried to change it back to the normal spot, by hitting control K, the book/place mark did not move .

Has the key stroke changed in 11.0?

Thanks!

Rich
