I didn't like some of the normal ribbon function either. The ones you menioned. The virtual menus are awesome! I had gotten used to the ribbons in Word for most tasks. However, in some groups, I move on to the next group without knowing there are more items in the current group. The thing I have hated about the ribbons is the inconsistency in the interface. It is hard to know when Up arrow will go back to the top ribbon or move to additional options in a group. If you have any sight, it is probably obvious. Virtual ribbons finally let me explore and find all of the options! I think allowing editing combo boxes within the virtual menus is genius! It makes the entire virtual menus consistent. Virtual menus are not working for me in Excel. I think I have destroyed the standard Excel menus over the last two years attempting to get certain tasks done easier. Does anyone know how to revert back to the standard, default Excel menus? I want to wipe out all my customizations and get virtual menus working. Settings Manager does show they are enabled. If virtual ribbons destroy the native ribbon feel or you have memorized sequences of keys to perform tasks, the virtual ribbon capability can be turned off. I wonder if a toggle for virtual menus can be tied to a hotkey? Don Marang There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working on things that matter.
